With decor that harkens black to old school hip hop and rock and roll, Black Tap is an homage to the great American luncheonette experience. Chef/Partner Joe Isidori's menu features burgers made of beef, bison, lamb, turkey, chorizo, and falafel, along with burger salad options, spicy Korean wings and sides like Teriyaki Broccoli, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, and Mexican Avocado. The Greg Norman Burger, with wagyu beef, house buttermilk-dill dressing, blue cheese, and arugula won "People's Choice" at the New York City Wine & Food Festival's Burger Bash competition in 2015. Furthermore, Blakc Tap's signature "Crazy Shakes" have reached worldwide acclaim with their whimsical and over the top decorations and flavors such as The Cotton Candy Shake, Sour Power, Sweet n Salty, and The Cookie Shake.
Born and raised in New York City, Joe Isidori is a third generation chef, inspired by both his father and grandmother. In 1998 at the age of 21, he was awarded a scholarship to The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Upon graduating in December 1999, Isidori launched his career as Chef de Cuisine with Michael Schwartz at Nemo Restaurant (Miami Beach, FL). In 2003 at the age of 25 he began his role as Corporate Executive Chef of Trump Golf Management. There, Isidori created and launched dining concepts for The Trump National Gold Clubs (Bedminster, NJ and Westchester, NY) and The Mar-a-Lago Club (Palm Beach, FL). He also served as Donald Trump's personal chef. After successfully launching the golf property concepts in 2006, Isidori was promoted to Vice President of Food & Beverage and named Executive Chef of The Mar-a-Lago Club, overseeing three dining rooms. In 2007, he oversaw Trump's Hotel Collection dining concepts in Chicago and Las Vegas. As Executive Chef of DJT, the Las Vegas flagship restaurant, Isidori managed H2[eau] Cafe; banqueting; and in-suite dining for more than 1,200 rooms. It was here that Isidori earned his coveted Michelin Stars. In the years after, Joe worked as Chef/Partner at the successful Southfork Kitchen in Bridgehampton, New York for four years, followed by Arthur on Smith in Brooklyn.

The menu is served in a lively, sophisticated setting reminiscent of a European circus tent which inspired the restaurant's name. Celebratory restaurateur Mauro Maccioni and legendary restaurant Bruno Dussin are ready to welcome you. "When we opened Circo in 1996, our business plan was simple, Dad's Hospitality, Mom's Food, run by the sons." Red's Lounge features an 88-foot mural by the world-renowned artist Red Grooms. Hear live music nightly starting at 6:00 pm.
