Overview

Perfectly located in the historical heart of Paris, the Hôtel du Louvre stands as a haven of inspiration where travelers immerse themselves in a typical Parisian atmosphere and create their own stories. Inaugurated in 1855 among the first Paris “grand hotel" the property reopens in April 2019 with 164 rooms including 58 Suites further to an unprecedented renovation. The iconic property will host the very first Parisian brasserie by famous french chef Paul Bocuse.

The Brasserie du Louvre, set in a typical Parisian atmosphere, invites you in its large and luminous dining room. This luxury restaurant is decorated with elegant dark wood and golden frescos inspired by the masterpieces at the Louvre museum.

A la carte, this Parisian restaurant tempts you to taste a subtle marriage of flavors created by the renowned chef Guy Martin and prepared by the Hotel du Louvre Chef Denis Bellon. Every week, the restaurant offers a new menu presenting a fresh cuisine and using local seasonal products.

In summertime, restaurant guests can enjoy the terrace near Louvre Museum, which is filled with flowers. From the restaurant, you have an unforgettable view of Place du Palais-Royal and rue Saint-Honoré, as well as of the Comédie Française.

From the Airport
 
From Charles de Gaulle airport a taxi journey should take approximately 45 minutes and the charge should be in the region of €60, depending on traffic. Alternatively, for €8 and a journey time of approximately 1 hour, the Roissybus runs between the airport and Opera station, a 5-10 minute walk or short metro ride from the hotel.
 
Orly Airport is approximately 35 minutes by taxi (in the region of €40). Public transport options are available but they are not straightforward, first-time visitors to Paris would find them complicated.
 
By Train
 
From the mainline train station Gare de Nord, it is a short taxi ride (approximately €10) or a 20 minute journey on the metro: using lines 4 and 1 to Palais Royal Musée du Louvre, immediately outside the hotel. From Gare de Lyon it is a 15 minute metro journey using line 1 directly to Palais Royal Musée du Louvre. Gare Montparnasse is also straightforward, using metro lines 12 and 1 to Palais Royal Musée du Louvre.
