"The ultimate luxury experience for pure beauty" is the philosophy of the new Dior Institut, which emphasises the exclusive experience similar to that of Haute Couture.Using highly trained expert therapists and quality products by Dior, the Dior Institut offers guests the ultimate beauty experience. Inspired by Christian Dior, "the architect of design", the Dior Institut treatments are created, structured and redefined for each woman, step by step, for instant and long-lasting rejuvenating results. Each Dior treatment follows a certain structure:A one-on-one consultation and an in-depth skin examination with a therapist to ensure effective results. This is followed by a customised back massage which will help the posture of the head and figure. This process accompanies all treatments at the Dior Institut.Guests will then be offered a shaping exercise, involving expert gestures to target specific needs: youth, firmness... This massage may be enhanced by the Dior micro-abrasion technique which erases signs of ageing.A gentle hand massage concludes the treatment to awaken the guest. At the end of the treatment guests will be offered the "Finishing Touch" – a beauty treatment including makeup and perfume, for the ultimate Dior allure.

DINING

La Cour Jardin

La Cour Jardin is the most famous inner courtyard in Paris. Diners can linger over Riviera-style cuisine in a relaxing garden setting. The cocktail "Rouge Plaza", a delicious and clever blend of geranium syrup and champagne, will be the aperitif during summer time for ladies (and gentlemen) that chose to eat in Paris prettiest courtyard.

It seems that La Cour Jardin is alive with the fluttering of red fans, as each lady is presented with one to keep them cool while enjoying lunch in this elegant and sunny Parisian heaven and with air filled with bird songs.

Chef Christophe Clarigaro, supervised by Ducasse, has created a light and seasonal menu, ideal for summer dining up to 50 guests to enjoy over a long lazy lunch or romantic dinner.

Alain Ducasse at the Plaza Athénée

After several months of refurbishing, the Plaza Athénée hotel has reopened its doors and with it, the restaurant « Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée ».

Rewarded with 3 Michelin Stars, Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée tells a personal and radical story, continuing the work he began twenty-five years ago. He represents the naturalness cuisine, inspired by the fish-vegetables-cereals trilogy, with the help of his chef of Romain Meder. Healthier and more natural, more respectful of the Planet, it delivers a free and nearly instinctive interpretation of Haute Cuisine, revealing the produces' original flavor, from the noble to the humble, all exceptional.

Turning his back on traditional presentation, wines are now classified by generation. 10 years, 15 years, all the way up to 55 years! A beautiful way to chose wine, defined by an event that marks a life and their celebration. Gérard Margeon, Executive Head Sommelier of Alain Ducasse's restaurants and Laurent Roucayrol, the restaurant's head sommelier, ensure wine selection.

Denis Courtiade, the restaurant's Manager, presents clients marks of attention that accompany them throughout the meal. He offers innovative, liberated gestures. Simple and authentic movements, building the meal into an experience that engages the entire body.

The dining room is a gem- designed by Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku – where all is softness of curves, materials and contents. Everywhere is wonder in the remarkable quality of the pieces created with an absolute attention to every detail, a formidable representation of the craftsman's expertise. The hand of Man at the service of Beauty transcending matter and form.

On the table, shapes from yesterday and today are joined in perfect unison. Precious materials cohabitate with the simpler objects in a collection of unique creations designed by Pierre Tachon or Shinichiro Ogata, by Rina Menardi, Gérard Crociani or Tina Frey. Cutlery created in the 1970's by Roger Tallon is exclusively reedited for the restaurant. Alain Ducasse himself discovered some pieces in flea markets. On the table and in the kitchen alike, crude and noble materials converge.

La Galerie

The Galerie  was completely renovated and now radiates incomparable warmth. Sumptuous rugs echo the patterns of the listed mosaic, silk curtains softly temper the day light reflected in the crystal chandeliers. Soothing tones and velvet-covered seats and sofas wrap the Galerie des Gobelins in an intimate and peaceful mood... Yet another side of the Plaza Athénée to discover again and again.

The Galerie is the perfect place for light breakfast or lunch, a sweet interlude at tea time, or even an unexpected apéritif. Notes of a harp mingle with the song of birds nestled in our Cour Jardin. In this refined setting, with its soft touches of 18th Century style, Luigi Colombetti and his team waltz from tea to hot chocolate and variety of French pastries, which will no doubt charm anyone.

Le Relais Plaza

Located on the 21 of the avenue Montaigne, just a few steps away from the Theatre des Champs Elysées, the Relais Plaza is the Parisian meeting place par excellence.

This restaurant, with its decoration directly inspired the liner "Le Normandie", will be able to satisfy each whim : writers, painters, composers, actors, but also politicians, fashion designers, famous jewelers, …

The prestigious clientele come and share a privileged moment… Elegant dishes elaborated by Philippe Marc, who interprets Alain Ducasse's savoir-faire, are combined with cordial greetings of Werner Küchler, the Relais Plaza's faithful Restaurant Manager. This bistro "chic" suggests a cuisine that is both traditionally authentic and somewhat modern.

The Bar of the Plaza

Over the last 13 years, Le Bar at the Plaza Athénée has become the place to meet in the capital – a coup largely due to Thierry Hernandez, who became manager of the bar in 2001, shortly after the Patrick Jouin’s first makeover. Inspired by the striking contemporary decor, the manager set about rethinking the cocktail menu in order to add even more surprise and innovation, while remaining in tune with the ambience of a bar much loved by Parisian high society.

Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku have adopted a bold and creative approach to Le Bar, plunging guests into a distinctive and dreamlike atmosphere.

The ceiling is hidden under an installation composed of wreaths of fabric whilst the oversized bar in transparent resin levitates within the space. As time passes, the contrast between the floor, the walls and ceiling fades away in an ingenious play of light. Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku have created a world in which time seems to stand still. A far cry from the conventional design of a hotel bar, the new Le Bar at the Plaza Athénée invents a whole new language and promises an unprecedented experience.

In harmony with the spirit of his new bar, Thierry Hernandez injected fresh energy into the menu, concocting new textures, rethinking both the overall look and the service, in order to remain true to his philosophy of “maintaining a special relationship with clients.”

Ordering has become even more interactive. The menu can be called up with a flash code, so that the client may read it immediately on their smartphone or telephone and then order their drink.

Another major change, remarkable for a Palace, concerns the methods of consumption. Inspired by the “American way of life”, the cocktails now come in Small, Medium and Large. Three sizes for the same cocktail, but mixed in exactly the same way before the eyes of guests – not to mention those of the famous mixologist, who keeps a close watch on the quality of the preparations!

While Le Bar at the Plaza Athénée has become a chic and glamorous meeting place, it remains elegant and quintessentially Parisian, thanks to the impeccable service and attention paid to each client, irrespective of whether they are staying at the Hotel, and finally to the staff uniforms, complete with dinner jackets. Although it never drowns out the conversation, music plays an integral and ever-present role, thanks largely to a DJ five nights per week.

The Cellar

Located in the prestigious Avenue Montaigne where fashion, luxury and business cross paths, the Plaza Athénée has always exalted a refined charm and a warm atmosphere that has appealed to both the elegant Parisians and international guests alike since 1911. In 2000, world-famous chef Alain Ducasse set up his gastronomic restaurant at The Plaza Athénée and supervises all the catering to this day. Having worked alongside him, the sommelier Gerard Margeon now invites guests to master the arts of the dining table - the French way.

For the first time you will be able to access Plaza Athénée’s cellar which will unveil its secrets under the watchful eye of Gerard Margeon. The sommeliers will offer the chance to taste a selection of the impressive 35,000 wine bottles, which include Château Cheval Blanc, Château Latour, Château Margaux Pétrus and Montrachet. Delicate finger food will be served during the tastings.

To broaden their knowledge, the wine-savvy will be able to inject more originality by introducing this as a motivational stay or a work seminar, allowing customers to explore the other side of the wine scene and find out some of the Plaza Athénée’s best kept secrets.
