On the centenary of the death of Auguste Rodin (1840–1917), The Metropolitan Museum of Art celebrates its historic collection of the artist's work. Tony winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Jitney, The Piano Lesson) returns to Shakespeare in the Park to direct a sumptuous new production of OTHELLO. Set amid war and palace intrigue in the 17th-century Mediterranean, this classic drama about a noble Black Venetian general whose marriage is sabotaged by theater’s most infamous villain, Iago, remains Shakespeare’s most urgent and relevant tragedy today.

Organized with unprecedented access to David Bowie’s personal archive, this exhibition explores the creative process of an artist whose innovative collaborations and bold characterizations revolutionized the way we see music, inspiring people to shape their own identities while challenging social traditions. David Bowie is has been touring globally for the past five years and is taking its final bow at the Brooklyn Museum, providing an opportunity to view this one-of-a-kind material.

Being: New Photography at MoMA | through August 19, 2018
Every two years, MoMA’s celebrated New Photography exhibition series presents urgent and compelling ideas in recent photography and photo-based art. This year’s edition, Being, asks how photography can capture what it means to be human. Exploring new ground and the many forms that the photographic image can take, Being brings together an international group of 17 artists at various stages in their careers, all presenting their work at the Museum for the first time.
